Why Vibrnt Seeds Exists
Born from Experience, Built for Equity
In 2020, I started Vibrnt Seeds by volunteering to transform children’s unused garden spaces in the Bronx. When demand outgrew what I could build with my hands, I pivoted to something more scalable: garden kits paired with curriculum that connects to students’ everyday lives. I’ve worked for big urban agriculture companies. I see what’s out there. But I kept asking: Why don’t textbooks speak to our kids? Why can’t they see themselves in the curriculum? Now as I study, education law, I see how much has been systemically limited to our children on an equity scale. That’s why I contract a team of curriculum builders and editorial staff who share this vision: to rewrite the textbooks so our kids can understand, relate, and see the systems that shape the world. Vibrnt Seeds isn’t just curriculum, it’s a movement to give every child — regardless of zip code — the tools to understand food systems, claim their power, and build food freedom.
